Respected Colleagues,

To become the President of BOGS is my lifetime achievement and that has become too glorious to me because of the co incidence of Platinum Jubilee year of BOGS as my Presidential year.

It is long journey of carrying responsibilities of different magnitudes at different stages , absorbing criticisms of encouraging and depressing in nature and sensing gradually the warmth of mother’s lap . The BOGS is our mother and at this moment the only job is to protect our mother on one hand and increase her glamour to keep her evergreen on the other . I do not know whether I am right person to shoulder that responsibility or not but I assure you to offer my best for this mission.

Time has changed the administrative section of our society from individualized working protocol to teamwork regime to fit the need for the day . Superadded by fresh infusion of young talents our society is progressing towards a better tomorrow and has developed its own flow which can overcome any barrier . As president my job would be to navigate this flow properly with kind and most valuable suggestions and guidance from our most valued members.

I am really grateful to the illustrious job done by immediate past President Dr Kushagradhi Ghosh and Secretary , Dr Arup Majhi who constantly kept me informing all the forthcoming events well ahead before holding this chair so that the next executive body can take necessary measures.

At present two unrelated areas in BOGS need attention. One is ‘Building & Finance’ where lot of responsibility is there. The other one includes scientific and sociocultural activities where innovations as set out by immediate past EC are to be continued to reach the supremacy at national and international scenario.

At this crucial moment I need your blessings, constructive criticisms and whole hearted support to carry forward the prestigious image of our mother as far as possible in this Platinum Jubilee Year 2011-12.
